The Really Learn Guitar™ course is designed and taught by Jeff Vanderwarren. Jeff has been playing guitar since 1991 when he was 12 years old. Six years later he began teaching guitar in a variety of studios, schools, and privately, and has been teaching ever since. Many of his students have gone on to receive music scholarships based upon his teachings, alone.

Jeff has also been learning ever since, as he has been studying on and off for 14 years from various teachers with degrees in all concentrations of music. A believer in lifelong learning, Jeff constantly pursues knowledge and improvement in his playing, as well as his teaching. Jeff is fully versed on all aspects of guitar playing and theory. His easy-going, low-key approach to teaching will immediately put you at ease as he makes complicated concepts deceptively simple for you.

A Chicago native, Jeff's first inspiration for picking up the guitar came upon attending a Metallica concert at the age of 12. He began playing the very next day. As time went on his influences grew to include Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Pat Martino, Wes Montgomery, Sunny Rollins, 80's rock of all types, SRV, BB King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, the great guitar players of Ozzy, and the many fantastic musicians he has had the opportunity to play with.

In addition to being the Really Learn Guitar™ course developer, Jeff has also developed Jeff's Tips - Techniques to Improve Your Guitar Playing. This 2-DVD and Download instructional seriesis also available on our website.

If by some chance you run into Jeff and he's not cradling a guitar in his arms, you may catch him woodworking, playing soccer, or going out for a burrito.
